What campers say

Sycamore RV Resort is a small, well-kept RV park with two spring-fed lakes, a sandy beach, fishing ponds and walking paths, making it a peaceful choice for families or overnight travelers. Sites are level with concrete pads, picnic tables and full hookups; shower and laundry facilities are available. Guests commonly praise the grounds and convenient location near DeKalb/Chicago suburbs, but note the park is not large and has limited on-site attractions (no pool) and only a few day-visitor parking spots. Most visitors find hosts helpful, though a minority report slow communication or reservation issues, so confirm details before arrival.

📖 About This Campground

Sycamore RV Resort in Sycamore Illinois offers full hookup RV camping for short and seasonal stays. The nicely maintained park is located in a quaint rural "farm town" with brick old style downtown and close by urban shopping district. The park is found on the north side of town via North St (note that the turn is easy to miss as it looks like a driveway not a street). Guests enter via a packed gravel/ dirt road into a nice setting bound by trees and large fresh water lakes (open for catch and release fishing, kayaking, and swimming). The RV sites (no tent camping allowed) are situated within the interior of the property and are backin style with a few pull thrus also available. The water front sites have scenic views while most of the sites have concrete patios, picnic tables and fire rings. Wifi is available as are restrooms, showers and a laundry. Suitable for most sized RVs rates are reasonable. Some care is required to navigate for larger rigs but the owners are very hands on and help. The town has a historic corridor with Victorian style homes, a rail-trail for cycling/ hiking, and a community park with pool available. The park is within reasonable walking distance of all these locations. in addition there is a loop trail around the lakes that is a little over one mile long.

Paid $42/ night. Verizon coverage is fast and solid. They also have wifi but it is Tango managed and spikes fast and slow. Ownees are professional yet curt. Property and area are amazibg. The lakes are beautiful with great fishing. The town is quaint and vibrant. This is the place to stay near Chicago.. They were nice enough to squeeze Us in on a busy weekend into a cancellation site. The park is accessible for our big rig but does take some talent to maneuver the property is huge but it is mostly compiled of the Lakes. The RV parking area is on pieces of land located kind of in the center of the Lakes. The site itself was suitable with a hard packed gravel surface concrete patio and aged picnic table. We spent many mornings and afternoons walking the property and found it to be a stunning location. He also fished the lakes and have fun catching bluegill and bass. The town has all the supplies you will need and is very quaint and pretty. This park is located in a rural Farm area yeah it is reasonably close to Chicago. As the area is famous for most of the highways are toll Rhodes Saudi touring around them takes a lot of zigzagging and turns. We would gladly stay here again.
