What campers say

Sugarloaf Ridge State Park offers a scenic valley setting with an extensive trail network for all levels, including kid-friendly interpretive routes and a waterfall/planet walk. The campground accommodates tent camping and small RVs; many sites are attractive and semi-private, though some pads are uneven or sloped so choose sites carefully. Rangers and staff are generally helpful. Expect a $10 day-use fee or a state park pass. Facilities are mostly maintained, but showers are coin-operated and some visitors note cold water or sporadic cleanliness. Wildlife sightings are common; occasional ambient noises and narrow, winding access roads have been reported.
