What campers say

Standing Stone State Park offers a peaceful, family-friendly lake setting with fishing, paddle-boat rentals, kayaking and hiking. Cabins and a lodge are generally clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and suitable for groups, though lodge bathrooms have limited privacy and some cabins have lacked a few kitchen items on occasion. Trails are scenic and can be moderately challenging — expect one longer loop with substantial elevation change and some route-finding where trails cross roads or pass cabins. Staff and rangers are consistently reported as friendly and helpful. The park is a good choice for quiet getaways, family outings, and water-based recreation.
