What campers say

Soapstone Campground is a quiet, scenic site in the Uintas set among pines and wild roses with easy access to the Provo River. Campsites tend to be private and shaded, many roomy enough for larger rigs and straightforward to level; Loop A offers closer river access while other loops sit farther from the water. It’s a convenient base for nearby lakes and trailheads. Expect limited services: some visitors report no potable water, inconsistent host presence, and vault toilets that can be smelly or poorly maintained. Road approaches can be rough—pick your route and site carefully, especially during busy weekends.
