Sleepy Hollow State Park offers well-maintained trails, a sandy beach and lake popular for swimming, kayaking and fishing, plus picnic areas, disc golf and kid-friendly programs. Campsites are mostly tree‑buffered and private, with newer concrete pads at some sites; a few sites are smaller or partially paved. Modern, clean restrooms and warm showers are repeatedly praised, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Expect limited cell service on the trails, occasional biting gnats and some poison ivy in spots. Wildlife is abundant—bring secure food storage because raccoons are common.
