What campers say

Skidaway Island State Park offers well-kept, scenic woodland camping with numerous trails, playgrounds, and a bike-friendly path. Campsites are generally spacious and provide decent privacy; bathhouse and laundry facilities are clean, and staff and camp hosts are attentive. It’s convenient for day trips to Savannah (about 15 miles) and wildlife viewing is common. Note tradeoffs: portions of the campground have been undergoing upgrades that can cause daytime noise or partial closures, some cabins show wear, and ticks can be active—so take precautions for pets. The posted 15 mph limit is sometimes exceeded by other visitors.
