Selkirk Campground is a remote, first-come, first-served campground located in the Pike-San Isabel National Forest, near Como, Colorado. Situated at an elevation of 10,500 feet, it offers 15 campsites surrounded by mature trees and a peaceful atmosphere. The campground is accessible via a gravel road and is open seasonally from May until the road becomes snowed in.

Directions:
From Fairplay, Colorado, travel north on U.S. Highway 285 to the town of Como. Turn left onto County Road 33 and follow the road until you reach County Road 50. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 33 and follow the road for about four miles. Then, turn left onto Forest Service Road 33.3A and travel approximately 3/4 of a mile to the campground.

Campsites: 15 sites, including 6 tent-only sites.
Amenities:
- Vault toilets
- Picnic tables
- Fire rings with grates
Facilities: No RV hookups available.
Season: Typically open from mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather conditions.
Water: No potable water available; visitors must bring their own water.
Trash: Pack it in, pack it out; no trash services provided.

Hiking: Access to nearby trails and scenic drives.

⚠️ Important Considerations

Road Conditions: County Road 33 is a gravel road that may be rough; vehicles should be prepared for uneven surfaces.
Cell Service: Limited to no cell phone reception in the area.
Weather: Due to high elevation, temperatures can be cooler, and weather conditions can change rapidly.
Firewood: Firewood is available for sale at the campground, depending on fire restrictions. Please do not bring firewood from outside the area to prevent the spread of pests.
