WOW WOW WOW this is an absolutely amazing place to camp. We stayed after labor day for 2 weeks and loved our experience. It was hot during the day but thunderstorms would roll through and create these amazing vistas of the mountains. The RV sites had plenty of room and we absolutely loved our stay. Make sure to check out the dinosaur tracks located in nearby BLM land (a dirt road to get there) and also check out the museum the park staffs at their main entrance. Verizon 4G was solid. We will absolutely be back!

📖 About This Campground
Sand Hollow State Park Campground south of Hurricane Utah offers full hookup RV camping on paved sites in the Westside Campground. Primitive tent and RV camping available in the Sandpit and Southshore campgrounds. Access to Sand Hollow Reservoir, ATV trails, and nearby outdoor activities.
A very popular and scenic campground this state park is busy with locals and popular wit tourists coming to the region to visit nearby Zion and surrounding red rock deserts. A gated entrance the park is well maintained and suitable for any sized RV (All of the full hookup sites in Westside Campground can accommodate any sized RV despite what their reservation site states).
The full hookup Westside Campground is very well arranged with extra large sites, picnic tables, fire rings and shelters. restrooms with showers are dispersed throughout the grounds and the campground is within walking distance of the reservoir. The only downside for ATV riders is that non-street legal vehicles are expressly prohibited from driving to and from the dunes out of this campground. If you want that ability you need to go over to the more primitive, and not as nice, camping areas by the dunes.
A 45 minute drive from Springdale/ Zion Sand Hollow State Park Campground provides a suitable alternative to other camping accommodations in the region. Fairly priced the park has dark night skies and solid/ fast Verizon 4G signals.
Swimming, boating and fishing are available on the reservoir. Be aware of swimmers itch which frequents these warm waters.
Located in the southwest of Utah the park does see extreme summer heats.
