We really enjoyed our stay at this park. It is in a more rural setting and we had fun riding our bikes on the backroads through the farm fields and grazing lands. Petaluma is a nice little town with lots of shopping. We took a day trip down to walk on the Golden Gate Bridge it was a 30 minute trip down and back when timed to miss traffic. Our son loved the rock climbing wall and bounce pillow. The pool was heated, and it was legitimately heated!, to a nice temperature. Overall a very well run park. verizon 4G was solid. If I were to give it any cons it would be the short road to the park the right turn up to the park and then getting in the gates; it is a bit tight in a big rig. We would gladly return to this park.

What campers say
San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA is a large, well-maintained family campground with abundant amenities: a heated pool and spa, kids' activities (foam parties, hay rides, movies, trampoline, petting zoo), well-kept grounds, cabins and RV sites, two stores, and a popular dog park. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient to downtown Petaluma. Practical tradeoffs: some tent sites are small or uneven, weekend evenings can be noisy despite posted quiet hours, and the cashless payment system requires a fairly large minimum load.
