Small, well-kept campground with spacious sites, clean showers and bathrooms, and a friendly, accommodating host who offers firewood and on-site help. It's a convenient base for North Shore hikes and about 15–20 minutes from Duluth. Many visitors appreciate the privacy and green walking areas, and Wi-Fi was reported strong by some. Be aware the park sits near a highway and an active rail line, so trains and traffic can be loud at times. Laundry and some maintenance experiences vary; a few guests noted limited or poorly kept facilities, so expect mixed results.
