This is what you'd expect at a KOA campground, very, very nice. All kinds of sites, patio sites, long pull throughs, deluxe sites, primitive tent sites, group sites, rental cabins, deluxe cabins and everything in between. Great views of the mountains, close to all attractions, especially the Royal Gorge Bridge and close to town. Giant slide, pool, store, outdoor kitchen, mini golf, laundry, western town with horses adjacent to campground.

Royal Gorge/Canon City KOA sits in a scenic spot with easy access to the Royal Gorge trail and local rafting/Canon City. Sites are roomy with wide roads and pull-throughs that accommodate large rigs; full hookups and usable Wi-Fi were noted. Cabins and grounds are generally clean and well landscaped, and a pool and patio sites are highlights. However, several guests reported inconsistent amenities (limited slide hours, missing cabin microwaves, uneven cabin floors), occasional safety and maintenance issues on playground equipment, and mixed reports about staff professionalism and checkout handling.
