River View Campground is a well-kept, family-oriented park with friendly, hands-on owners and a range of amenities — pool, mini-golf, playground, bathhouse, laundry, and kid activities. Sites include riverfront spots for wading and casual fishing, and the park is convenient to Owatonna and local events. Visitors note practical tradeoffs: some sites are small or near the highway and can be noisy, barking dogs and seasonal residents are common, and there have been occasional electrical (50A) issues, a sulfur-like water odor, and flood-prone low areas. Overall it’s tidy and welcoming, but check site location and hookups when booking.

Riverview Campground in Owatonna Minnesota offers full hookup RV and tent camping for short and long term stays. Southwest of I35 and US14 interchange the park is set in a rural setting under large shade trees. With scheduled events and family friendly amenities the park charges a bit more on weekends than on weekdays. Passport America is also available. Adjacent to the Straight River the park has mini-golf, a pool and clubhouse. From the park: River View Campground is a friendly, fun getaway for family and friends or to meet new friends! Relax in the large heated swimming pool or gather around the sweet aroma of an evening campfire. Our central location to Minneapolis, Iowa, Mankato and Rochester make it a perfect spot to circle the wagons. Some enjoy throwing a line in the Straight River which flows through the campground or even launch a kayak or canoe. River View also offers many planned weekend events for our guests to partake in. In addition, there are several attractions in Owatonna such as the RAD Zoo (Reptile and Amphibian Discovery), Historic buildings tours, State School Orphanage tours, Village of Yesteryear, Steele County Free FAIR, miles of biking trails, and of course a visit to Cabela’s! We are located 10 minutes south of the Medford Outlet Center and 45 minutes south of the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN for shopping fun.
