What campers say
Riverside East Campground sits along the Neosho River near the dam, offering quiet, scenic sites with water/electric hookups, a dump station, and clean showers/restrooms. Many campers note level, well‑maintained sites, covered picnic tables, and helpful park staff; the spillway provides steady white‑noise. Practical tradeoffs: some sites are close together which can limit slide‑outs and awnings, a few sites have awkward grades for backing, and river access is restricted by a safety fence. Most reviews praise cleanliness and affordability, though a few mention inconsistent restroom cleaning and at least one customer service issue.
