Red Mountain Campground sits on the Cle Elum River with many sites offering direct river access and attractive mountain views. Sites include picnic tables and fire rings; a small sandy swimming spot and rocky riverbank make it good for cooling off. Vault toilets are present and generally kept stocked; there is no potable water or showers, so bring your own. Campsites are popular and can fill quickly on summer weekends; some sites are close to the road and ATV/car noise can be noticeable. Occasional parties/festival noise and reported bear activity are possible, so plan accordingly. Dumpsters are provided for trash.
