Point Campground is a scenic, tent-focused site on Sawtooth Way with crystal-clear water, a sandy beach, and strong Sawtooth Mountain views. Sites are widely spaced with level tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, water spigots and flush toilets; firewood is available for purchase and campsites are kept tidy by attentive hosts. Many sites are walk-in (wagons provided) so some gear hauling may be required. Expect entry and extra-vehicle fees — state park stickers may not apply — and busy summer weekends; reservations well in advance are recommended. The shallow shore makes swimming and easy fishing good for families, though check-in rules are enforced.

📖 About This Campground

Point Campground is located next to beautiful Redfish Lake at the foot of the Sawtooth Mountain Range at an elevation of 6,500 feet. This small campground offers eight walk-to tent sites and eight sites for tents, trucks with campers and vans only; no motor homes or trailers allowed. Most sites have lake views. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided. Roads and parking spurs are paved. A dump station is nearby. Point Campground is in the heart of the beautiful Sawtooth National Recreation Area, where outdoor activities abound. Redfish Lake offers excellent boating, water skiing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing for rainbow trout and Kokanee salmon. Little Redfish Lake is just down the road, offering additional fishing and canoeing. A designated swimming beach and dock are located at the adjacent public day-use area. Sandy Beach Boat Ramp is across the lake, about a mile away.
