Paris Mountain State Park is a compact, well-maintained park just outside Greenville centered on a scenic lake with a loop trail, picnic shelters, swimming beach, fishing and paddleboat rentals. Trails range from easy walks to more strenuous climbs, and routes are generally clearly marked though some visitors find signage confusing — downloading the QR-coded map helps. Facilities include clean restrooms and friendly staff; the park is kid- and dog-friendly. Expect peak crowds, limited parking, and a per-person admission fee; campsites may be tight for large RVs. Bring water and bug spray, and be prepared for spotty cell service in places.
