📖 About This Campground
We are a 15 acre RV park in a country setting. Located just 4 miles off of I-70 we are close enough to the interstate to be convenient but far enough to be a quiet setting.
Our 28 sites are 30' x 60' and all have 20, 30 & 50 amp electric, water and sewer. 2 spaces are concrete pull though pads.
We are pet friendly and offer a 160 acre field for them to run off leash. There is a road in front of the campground that is perfect for walking or bicycling since there's rarely any traffic. You can watch prairie dogs scurry around as you meander down the road. You may also see mule deer or antelope. Pheasants and doves are plentiful. Our miles of tree rows are the perfect place for hunting dogs to practice their flushing skills and hunting opportunities are offered as well through Eastern Outdoorsmen. Their guide will help you navigate the more than 2,000 acres available to hunt or you can hunt on your own.
If you have horses that need to be pastured overnight we can accommodate them as well. We also have a large pen with water 1 mile away. It has a wind and snow shelter should the weather turn ugly. We also have many acres where you can ride your horse. You can chose flat ground, gentle rolling hills or 640 acres of challenging rugged terrain 8 miles from the park.
We have stream beds which are normally dry and offer many hours of rock and arrowhead hunting. Speaking of rocks, we have a multi-colored hill of rocks which is where our park gets its name.
The stars are bright and plentiful here with no city lights to interfere with your gazing. Our sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous over the plains. It isn't unusual to see a complete rainbow after a shower.
For your entertainment, we have a 1,00 sq. ft. clubhouse which includes a pool table, pingpong table, big screen TV and sitting area. It also has a full kitchen and family dining table for any gathering you may have. We have horseshoes, a corn hole game and a play set for children to swing or climb. (Clubhouse is closed until further notice due to COVID-19)
