Last minute overnight stay in a lovely spotted tucked into the late fall leaves. Had the place pretty much to ourselves and it was perfect. The Campground virtual tour is what got us here and was very valuable for finding the right site for us. We paid $13 for the night with our access pass.

Oak Ridge Campground offers well-maintained, spacious sites with private-feeling spacing, individual fire pits and picnic tables, plus clean restrooms and hot showers. Loops are differentiated—A suits small RVs, B favors groups, C is quieter for tents—and trails start at the campground, with easy access to regional attractions and I-95. Expect limited cell reception, no electrical or water hookups, and vehicle parking a short walk from sites (carts available). Park entrance fees are separate from camping reservations; reserve through recreation.gov. The setting is generally quiet and family-friendly, with rangers and hosts present, though weekends can be busier.
