What campers say
North Tongue Campground is a small, well‑maintained Forest Service site high in the Bighorn Mountains that works well as a peaceful basecamp for exploring the national forest. Twelve relatively private sites sit along a babbling creek with good wildlife viewing (deer, moose and trout/fishing opportunities noted). Campsites typically include a picnic table, fire ring/grill and bear box; pit toilets are consistently described as clean and the host is helpful. Expect limited services—primarily dry camping with only occasional spigots reported—and somewhat compact sites that may be tight for larger RVs or trailers.
