What campers say

Nauvoo State Park is a tidy, scenic park close to the town's historic attractions, making it convenient for day visits. Sites sit among mature trees on rolling terrain; many campers praise the clean shower house, warm water, boat ramp, lake access and fishing opportunities. Campsites are mostly electric only with a dump station; a few water spigots exist but full water/sewer hookups are limited. Expect older park roads, uneven or slightly close site spacing, and some shared electrical boxes that may require long cords. Overall a pleasant, affordable option if proximity to Nauvoo and lake access matter more than modern hookups.
