Mountain Valley Lodge is a small, pet-friendly lodge and RV park with cozy, clean cabins and a handful of full-hookup RV sites. Guests frequently praise the welcoming, communicative owner and the quiet nights with excellent stargazing; it’s also convenient for birding in nearby Cave Creek. Expect very basic facilities: coin showers in an outdoor-style bathroom, occasional laundry issues, and limited cell/TV reception (there is free Wi-Fi). Tent sites can be exposed and close to the road. Overall it’s a good, affordable option for travelers who want a rustic, low-amenity base rather than full campground services.
