Mountain Stream RV Park is a well‑kept, quietly scenic campground set beside a flowing stream; many sites back onto the water and several have small private decks. Reviewers consistently note immaculate landscaping, gravel pads, clean hookups, and friendly, helpful staff (they sell firewood and a small camp store covers basics). It’s a convenient base for the Blue Ridge Parkway and nearby trails, with a fishing pond, yurts, and a fenced dog area (some find it small). Tradeoffs include limited cell service, basic Wi‑Fi, few onsite amenities (no laundry), and small restrooms with only a couple of showers.

📖 About This Campground

Mountain Stream RV Park in Marion North Carolina provides full hookup RV camping in a scenic setting 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway. All backin fuoll hookup RV sites the park is open seasonally to short term guests. An excellent home base for exploring the area the park is also popular with bicyclists and motorcyclists riding the parkway. New for 2018 will be 3 large Yurts. RV sites are packed gravel with grass between sites. The sites back up to a scenic creek and have picnic tables and fire rings. Guests have access to a nice bathroom with showers, basketball court, pavilion with fire place and cooking area. Wifi and cable is available. NOTE: due to the location there is no cell coverage in the park. Overall this is a very nice campground From the park: The Park is at about 1800′ elevation in the middle of the Pisgah National Forest, nestled in a narrow valley surrounded by mountains on all sides. Beautiful Buck Creek flows through this valley and along two sides of the campground. The Blue Ridge Parkway is only about 3 miles away, but it’s 5 miles by road. We are surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery. You can take in many of the interesting attractions that are only a short drive away or you can just relax by the stream and listen to the cold clear water flowing over the rocky stream bed. And speaking of the stream, there’s trout in that thar’ water. All of our sites have full hook-ups – power (30 & 50 amp), water, sewer and cable TV.
