Stayed the night here on our way to Wyoming. They charge a camping fee plus a vehicle fee making the total nightly rate of $23. Electric hookup only but suitable to sleep and pull out the next day. This park was originally developed for that purpose making for a unique little history lesson for the kids. Verizon worked great.

What campers say
Mormon Island SRA is a convenient, well-kept roadside campground with easy access from I-80 and a nearby convenience store. Sites range from primitive tent spots to paved RV pads with 30/50A hookups, multiple potable water spigots, a centrally located dump station, coin showers and laundry. The grounds, trails and small lakes are good for hiking, birding and casual fishing. Staff and on-site hosts are reported as helpful. Tradeoffs include a daily park admission fee and occasional highway noise at some sites; bathroom condition and water availability have varied, and insect activity has been noted in a few spots.
