Location location location. This place could be a giant dirt lot and it would still be amazing, oh wait it is a giant dirt lot right now. if you have ever wanted to stay in a RV park before it is complete this is the place to be ;). Great owners who were appropriately apologetic of their under-development status but overall the location was great. We had previously stayed at Gouldings but that park is a bit tight for our large rig. This new KOA is located right off the highway in a big open area. Monument Valley is an amazingly beautiful area to stay for a day or two. We are not big fans of the rules regarding visiting the monument areas but still enjoy admiring from afar while passing through the area. The price was a bit steep at over $60 per night and if we were in a smaller RV we would have chosen Gouldings for this reason; less expensive by a sizable margin. The park is a KOA and is located in an amazing area so most will ignore this fact and stay here anyways. Expect to see a ton of Cruise America RVs here all the time. There is a gas station 1 mile south of the park and the highway is not very noisy with most of the traffic during the day and it is not that heavy. Be aware this region is far from medical staff so drive safe and be prepared.
