📖 About This Campground

Monte Cristo Campground 30 miles from Huntsville Utah is a US Forest Service campground (Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest) offering 47 primitive hookup RV and tent camping sites at 9,000 feet elevation. Usually open by the first week of July the campground is convenient to multiple trails for hiking, biking, ATV and equestrian use (note horses are not allowed in the campground; in addition ATV users are forced to trailer 1 mile away from campground). Fresh water and vault toilets. The campsites have a picnic table and fire ring. This campground also serves as a base camp for hunters during deer and elk season. Advance reservations can be made via Recreation.gov.
