Merry Knoll Campground is a well-kept, family-run park with strong river/Thousand Islands views and a convenient Clayton-area location. Many guests praise very clean bathrooms, laundry and a sparkling pool, plus welcoming owners and a complimentary carrot cake on arrival. Sites on the hillside offer good vistas, though transient spots are limited—most sites are seasonal—and some RV sites are close together with a tight approach between trees. A few visitors mentioned roaming off‑leash dogs and an occasional brusque interaction with staff. Utilities generally function well, and cell reception can vary (Verizon reported better than T‑Mobile by some).
