📖 About This Campground
Martin Creek Campground is a quiet, deeply secluded forest haven tucked away at the scenic convergence of Moose and Martin Creeks in the southern Sapphire Mountains. Located roughly 17 miles northeast of Sula, Montana, within the Bitterroot National Forest, this intimate 7-site escape offers a peaceful, off-grid environment at an elevation of 5,300 feet. The campground features a single dirt-and-gravel loop that can surprisingly accommodate RVs and trailers up to 50 feet—making it an excellent hideaway for mid-sized rigs seeking an authentic mountain experience. Operating entirely on a budget-friendly, first-come, first-served basis, it serves as a premier wilderness staging ground for fair stream fishing, pristine wildlife viewing, and instant access to rugged trailheads leading into the spectacular Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness.
