We stayed just outside Augusta at Made in the Shade Campground & RV Park, and honestly… the name fits. 😎🌳 This place was the perfect home base for exploring the area and escaping the noise of it all. The sites are large, open, and super easy to back into—which, if you’ve ever wrestled a big rig into a tight spot, you know is a BIG deal. Setup was quick, painless, and gave us plenty of room to actually enjoy our space instead of playing campsite Tetris. What really stood out though? The quiet. 🙌 Like… peaceful, birds chirping, coffee tastes better kind of quiet. We absolutely loved it. The whole campground has a laid-back, family-friendly vibe. The kids had room to roam, there’s a small playground, and shared spaces like the community fire pit made it easy to wind down after a day of adventures. They’ve got on-site laundry (road life essential ✔️), and one of the coolest little touches we’ve seen—individual mailboxes at each site. It gives the place a unique, almost neighborhood-like feel, especially if you’re staying a while. If you’re looking for a spot near Augusta that’s quiet, spacious, easy to navigate, and just feels good to be in, this one’s a winner. We came for a place to park… and ended up with a place to actually relax. 💚
