Lakeside Campground is a family-friendly county park beside the Jamestown Reservoir, with trails, disc golf, a large playground, open grassy areas and a generally clean shower/toilet block. Sites feature picnic tables, fire rings and a few basic cabins. Many visitors praised the location, trails and affordable rates. Expect tradeoffs: some electrical pedestals are far from back‑in sites and 50‑amp options are limited; occasional road noise, barking dogs, black flies or littered fire rings have been reported. Hosts are often helpful and reservations are handled through an online booking system.

📖 About This Campground

Lakeside Campground is located just east of picturesque Jamestown Reservoir. This lake provides opportunities for all types of water activities in a native prairie setting. Lakeside Campground has 52 RV sites all with electrical and water hook-ups. There is a campground host on site Friday through Sunday. There are four sites with concrete pads and parking for visitors with accessibility needs. Picnic tables and campfire rings are available at all sites. In addition to the RV sites, there are many primitive tent locations as well as four sleeping cabins. The bathhouse has flush toilets and shower facilities. A fish cleaning station is available nearby. One covered shelter can be used for group activities.
