Lake Wateree State Park offers large, generally level campsites with many shaded, pull-through options and several lakefront sites with good views and boat access. The park is divided into distinct sections: interior sites near the tackle shop and ramps are tree-lined and close to activities, while a newer riverside section has level, more open sites with less shade. Facilities include clean bathhouses, a tackle/camp store, playground and easy beginner nature trails. Good for fishing, boating and family visits. Note that site location affects proximity to amenities and cell service may be spotty in parts of the park.
