What campers say

Lake Louise State Park is a small, quiet park with easy, mostly flat trails through prairie and dense deciduous forest. Multiple trail surfaces (paved, gravel, unpaved) connect to the Shooting Star State Trail, and routes are suitable for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The river, dam and small lake create pleasant paddling and fishing opportunities (bring your own boats), and a compact swimming beach and picnic area provide day-use options. Campsites are rustic, fairly close together, and group areas are available. Visitors note limited on-site staffing, occasional signage gaps, mosquitoes in warm months, and mineral-tinged shower water.
