What campers say

Lake Harriet Campground is a small, scenic spot tucked into forested lakeshore that’s repeatedly praised for fishing and water recreation. Expect about eight primitive sites, no hookups and vault toilets, with a gravel access road that can be slick in winter. The lake is cold seasonally and snow can linger into spring; summer demands sunscreen and can bring lots of flies. Anglers and families use the long dock and shoreline frequently, so areas can feel crowded during peak fishing. Wildlife sightings (eagles, osprey, beavers, otters and herons) add to the appeal, but bring basic supplies and plan for minimal services.
