Lake D’Arbonne State Park is a well-kept, family-friendly destination with clean cabins (A/C, running water and stocked essentials), helpful staff, and a variety of on-site activities. Visitors enjoy kayak rentals, multiple fishing piers, a boat launch, a pool, hiking trails and recreational amenities like disc golf and tennis. Campsites tend to be spacious, though some sites are uneven and only a few full-hookup spots exist and fill quickly. Restrooms, showers and a washateria are reported clean and maintenance has improved, but the lake level can be low at times and some trails could use more upkeep.
