What campers say

The park offers scenic lakefront camps, well-maintained restrooms and vault toilets, potable water spigots, picnic tables and fire rings. Several campgrounds circle the lake, with a mix of dry camping (boondocking) and a few electrical sites; there are no on-site showers in some units. Trails and beaches provide easy to moderate hiking and fishing opportunities, and wildlife sightings (ospreys, deer) are common. The area is popular year-round—ice fishing and snowmobiling in winter—while limited trailhead parking and variable hookups are practical tradeoffs to consider.
