What campers say

Korn's Shawangunk Kill Campground sits on wooded grounds along a creek with a pool and playground, making it a convenient, family-friendly option near local events. Many sites offer water and electricity, and staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful—they'll often adjust site assignments for privacy. Practical tradeoffs include variable bathhouse cleanliness (some showers and remote facilities reported with bugs or limited power) and occasional noisy neighbors, though management is generally responsive. Reservations and check-in are straightforward; on-site purchases (firewood, laundry) may require cash or small fees. Overall a good-value, well-located campground if you accept mixed bathhouse upkeep.

Stayed 9/4-7/2020, on site 49. The good: Reservation process was easy. Almost all sites have water and electric. Electric looks like it was recently redone. We had no power issues. Almost all sites sit in tall pines. Sites are not too crowded together. Sites are mostly level. Nice playground. Large open field for games. Pool, a little small for the size of the campground, open 11-7. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Someone gave us a load of firewood on Saturday while we were out. Don't know if it was campground or someone else. The bad: Roads around the campground are bumpy and narrow. Lot of dead branches in the pine trees, would not want to stay on site in a heavy storm with winds. Comfort Stations (toilets and showers) So why do we rate this a 1? Went to use the toilet Saturday morning. NO WATER TO FLUSH! Disgusting to say the least. This is in a facility with one toilet and urinal for men and two toilets for women serving at least 60 sites, many with tent campers. The main comfort station was larger but that was about it. We took a shower there, but evidently they don't know about bleach as there was mold everywhere., Unmaintained toilet facilities are just not acceptable. Total cost was $56/night with water and electric included.
