What campers say
Keaʻau Beach Park offers dramatic ocean views and reliable sunset photography opportunities with tide pools, rocky shoreline and surfing/fishing access. It’s often quieter than more touristy spots, especially on weekdays, and has picnic tables, bathroom facilities, dog-friendly areas and camping sites. Practical tradeoffs include very limited shade and little breeze at times, sharp rocks along the shore, and parking that can fill up on weekends. Visitors should come prepared with sun protection, sturdy footwear and gear to carry items in from the highway-side lot. Overall a scenic, low-key spot for relaxing, photos and fishing.
