Kamp Across From the Dunes is a small, well-kept RV park and cabin spot just across from Warren Dunes and next to The Beach Bucket. Owners are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful; the grounds and bathroom facilities are generally kept very clean. Most sites appear occupied by seasonal or full‑time RVs, so it functions more as a quiet home base for beach and dune visits than an activity‑oriented campground. Sites offer full hookups; Wi‑Fi has been reported to work while cable TV isn’t provided. Tent camping may not be available. Cabins are simple and clean but bring bedding.

📖 About This Campground

Kamp Across From the Dunes Campground in Sawyer Michigan offers full hookup RV camping across the road from the state park. A well kept and nicely manicured location the park has paved roads with gravel parking pads. Almost exclusively seasonal sites there may be one or two sites available for short term guests but calling ahead and reserving is strongly encouraged. The park is directly across the street from the entrance to Warren Dunes allowing guests to walk or ride into the park to explore the trails and visit the beach (about 1 mile away). Kamp Across From the Dunes Campground has a scenic small pond that is a centerpiece for a number of sites that back up to or face out on the water. Restrooms with showers are available as is a small playground and dump station. Many of the seasonal guests have made their sites "theirs" with wood decks and fancy tables/ chairs; the park does not have a run down feel with these improvements. Adjacent to and accessed via a secret walkway is a small cafe popular for ice cream and other summer treats.
