What campers say
Junction City Campground is a small, well-kept BLM campground right off Highway 299 offering water, vault/in-ground toilets, shaded, roomy sites and easy access to the Trinity River for fishing and hiking. A friendly, attentive camp host keeps the grounds tidy and provides firewood for donations/sale; campfires are generally allowed in summer. Practical tradeoffs include notable highway noise (especially from trucks) and limited cell/Wi-Fi and no electrical hookups. Some pull-through sites near a roadside pond have occasional odors. The park is open seasonally and suits travelers looking for a simple, convenient stop.
