What campers say
Jones Gap State Park offers scenic, well-maintained trails along the Middle Saluda River with several rewarding waterfalls. Trails range from moderate riverside walks to the vigorous, steep Rainbow Falls climb (rocky steps and occasional scrambling) — take care on the descent. There’s a $6 parking fee, limited spaces, and weekend/holiday parking reservations are often required. Camp sites can be remote and may require hiking gear to reach. Pet-friendly with leash rules, helpful rangers, a park store, picnic areas and clean restrooms. Some trails have seen storm-related damage; check current conditions before you go.
