Johnson Park is a well-kept city park centered on a small lake with an easy, mostly paved walking loop of about a mile. Amenities include picnic shelters and tables, shaded spots, a children's playground, fishing from the shore, paved paths for walking or biking, and restrooms noted as clean. There is a frisbee‑golf layout on site, though signage or baskets may be inconsistent in places. The park is adjacent to a splash/water play area and near a highway, so occasional road noise can detract from the setting. Overnight camping appears limited or unavailable.
