Jackson Lake State Park - Foxhill Campground

Jackson Lake State Park, located in Morgan County, Colorado, is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The park features a 2,700-acre reservoir, making it ideal for various water-based activities.   Recreational Activities:

• Boating and Fishing: The large reservoir accommodates motorboats, jet skiing, water skiing, and sailboarding. Anglers can fish for species such as walleye, saugeye, and wiper.
• Camping: The park offers 260 campsites, including those with electric hookups, suitable for tents and RVs. Amenities include showers, toilets, and laundry facilities. Reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance.
• Swimming and Picnicking: Sandy beaches provide designated swimming areas, and numerous picnic sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Trails: The park features 3.4 miles of trails suitable for hiking and biking, offering opportunities to explore the local flora and fauna.
• OHV Riding: An off-highway vehicle (OHV) track is open year-round from 8 a.m. to sunset. OHVs are not permitted on park roads, campgrounds, or local roads.

Dark Sky Designation: In 2020, Jackson Lake State Park became the first Colorado State Park to be certified by the International Dark-Sky Association, making it a prime location for stargazing.
