Jack Creek Campground, located in the Sierra Madre Range of Wyoming, offers a serene camping experience amidst the natural beauty of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests. Situated at an elevation of approximately 8,400 feet, the campground provides a cool and refreshing environment, ideal for summer and fall camping. Amenities and Features:
  • Campsites: The campground features 16 campsites, including four pull-through sites, accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring.
  • Facilities: Amenities include vault toilets and potable water. Please note that trash service is not provided; campers are required to pack out all trash.
  • Recreational Opportunities:
    • Hiking: The campground provides access to both motorized and non-motorized portions of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, offering opportunities for exploration and wildlife viewing.
    • Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Riding: Primitive roads in the area are suitable for OHV enthusiasts.
    • Fishing: Nearby streams and lakes offer fishing opportunities for anglers.
Access and Location:
  • Directions: From Saratoga, Wyoming, travel south on Highway 130 for approximately 8 miles, then turn onto Highway 230 and continue for about 7 miles. Turn onto Forest Road 452 and proceed for 6.5 miles to reach the campground.
  • Elevation: The campground is situated at 8,400 feet, resulting in cooler temperatures, especially during the night.
