The park offers well-maintained, lakeside camping with many roomy sites (most with electric) and striking water views. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful; restrooms and showers are generally clean. Amenities include kayak/canoe rentals, paved and natural trails, playgrounds, picnic pavilions with grills, and on-site water, ice, firewood and a dump station. Practical tradeoffs: some lakefront views can be obscured by neighboring campers or group setups, and a few sites are uneven, so check site layout when reserving. In summer months visitors sometimes encounter mosquitoes, so bring insect repellent.

Indian Lake State Park Campground in Manistique Michigan is located on Indian Lake and provides primitive and partial hookup RV and tent camping in two designated areas. The South section is the main campground with the bulk of the amenities while the West campground is a bit more primitive and better suited to tent and small RVs. Both areas have electric hookups available but the West campground has vault toilets and a more rustic feel while the South campground has water available and running water in the restrooms. A popular area for access to the lake, swim beaches and the surrounding and nearby forest lands. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings available. Note: GPS coordinates direct you to the South area.
