What campers say

Independence Creek Campground is a small, scenic site with a creek running through it and clear views of the Sierra mountains. It’s close to town for supplies, offers picnic tables, fire rings, dumpsters and vault/pit toilets, and water at some sites. The soothing stream and relative quiet make it good for tent camping and fishing, though weekends can get busy. Tradeoffs include limited shade and hot summer temperatures, occasional maintenance issues (broken tables/bridges, scattered trash or glass) and no on-site showers. Some visitors note larger rigs fit better in sites west of the first bathroom.
