Icicle Group Campground sits along Icicle Creek with very short walks from parking to campsites, making creek access and swimming easy. Several visitors praise its location and the owners’ upkeep of porta-potties and trash. During summer, wasps nesting in the sand are commonly reported, so taking precautions is advisable. There are no public restrooms immediately at the river, so plan accordingly. In winter the area is also noted for cross-country skiing. Overall, it’s a well-maintained, conveniently located campground with some seasonal nuisances to consider.

🔥 Fire Restrictions
As of July 2, 2025, a Stage Two Fire Ban is in effect across all USFS campgrounds in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, including Icicle Group Campground. This ban prohibits campfires and open flame cooking with wood, charcoal, or wood pellets. The exception is that propane gas can be used as long as it has an on/off switch. No smoking is allowed in the open; smoking must be done either in your vehicle or within a building. Fireworks are also prohibited.
