What campers say

Horseshoe Lake Campground is a small, scenic high‑country spot with a pretty lake and views of Mt. Adams that many visitors find tranquil. Campsites are limited (around ten) with few level spots, so arriving early helps. Facilities are minimal: a single vault toilet and no potable water, so bring water and basic supplies. Access road can be rough or rutted and may require a high‑clearance vehicle. Expect wildlife (bears have been reported) and seasonal insects like mosquitoes; ants were noted by some visitors. Good for remote lake camping if you accept basic amenities and tradeoffs.
