A bit pricey for an overnight stay the owners are very nice and the park is well kept. There is a family restaurant right next door. Not bad for an overnight stop.

High Plains Camping is a convenient, easy on/off‑highway stop with full hookups, functioning electricity and level, mostly pull‑through sites—well suited for a layover. New ownership has been improving the park; guests commonly note very clean bathrooms and showers and new laundry machines, plus friendly staff. Tradeoffs include several unkempt areas: grass with sticker burrs, some broken picnic tables, and occasional reports of the office being closed or unattended. If you prioritize convenience and clean facilities but accept uneven grounds and ongoing repairs, this park can be a practical choice.
