What campers say
The Hatchet Campground offers a friendly, affordable base between Jackson/Tetons and Togwotee Pass with easy views of the Tetons. Hosts are regularly praised for being welcoming. Sites are basic but maintained: picnic tables, fire rings, benches, potable water spigots and vault/pit toilets are available, though facilities are limited (no dump station) and services can be reduced or shut down in the shoulder season. An overflow lot accommodates extra rigs. Expect a good location for touring Grand Teton and Yellowstone, variable cell reception, and occasional mosquitoes. Overall a practical, low‑cost option for visitors who accept simple amenities.
