Gorges State Park offers dramatic mountain scenery and several rewarding waterfall hikes (Rainbow/Turtleback/Drift), with rocky, steep trails and lots of steps and roots—not wheelchair- or stroller-friendly. Many visitors praise the striking visitor center, friendly staff, clean restrooms and a large gift shop. The campground is described as clean, quiet and spacious, with paved sites and available full hookups plus cabins and tent sites; the bathhouse gets strong marks for water pressure. Practical tradeoffs include steep, tight park access roads (tricky with long trailers), limited shade at some tent sites (bring a canopy), and crowds/limited parking on nice days.
