General Butler State Resort Park is a well-kept, scenic park with clean cabins, cottages and camp sites, a popular lodge restaurant, and easy access to I‑71 and nearby restaurants. Many campsites are shaded and water-and-electric only; some sites are narrow, sloped or require significant leveling and hookups can be a distance from rigs, so large RVs should pick sites carefully. Staff are generally helpful and safety-minded. Practical drawbacks reported intermittently include tick presence, limited pool hours, occasional bathhouse hot-water problems, and cabins lacking information packets or extra linens. Overall a pleasant, well-maintained park with a few tradeoffs.
